    OpenClaw Agent with Desearch

    Desearch publishes search and web crawling skills for OpenClaw agents on ClawHub. Install a skill, set one API key, and your agent can pull live external data.

    Requirements

    1. Create an API key in Desearch Console.
    2. Set it in the OpenClaw environment:

    Once set, the agent can use any of the skills above. Do not commit the key.

    How it works

    OpenClaw Agent → Desearch Skill (ClawHub) → Desearch API → live external sources

    Optional: agent retrieve, then answer

    After skills are installed, a minimal loop looks like:

    1. User question, then the AI Search skill (or the Web or X skill).
    2. Read returned links or the summary from the skill result.
    3. Optional: Extract skill on a chosen URL.
    4. Return citations plus a short answer.
    5. If you also call REST directly, log X-Desearch-Cost-Usd and X-Desearch-Usage-Count from response headers.

    Keep field names aligned with the Search API first call. Do not teach ONLY_LINKS as the links product path.

    Verify

    • DESEARCH_API_KEY is set in the OpenClaw environment
    • At least one ClawHub skill above is installed from the listed URL
    • The agent can complete one AI Search or Web Search skill call
    • GitHub source matches Desearch-ai/desearch-openclaw-skills
